Love Making Waves

An ocean simulation (based on the influential paper: Simulating Ocean Water (2001) by Jerry Tessendorf).

Instead of using a random initial state, this ocean simulation starts based on an inverse Fourier transform of a heightmap image, which allows me to embed messages.

Created with Island, real-time, interactive, 60Hz @ 4K.

Some screenshots of the same ocean, rendered with a line shader.
